1. Create a full backup of Tableau Server - if not already available. For more information, see our Online Help article: https://help.tableau.com/current/server-linux/en-us/backup_restore.htm

2. Deactivate the Tableau Server license as described here: https://kb.tableau.com/articles/howto/deactivating-server-product-key

3. Remove Tableau Server from all computers running Tableau Server, including workers using our Obliterate script: https://help.tableau.com/current/server-linux/en-us/remove_tableau.htm#to-completely-remove-tableau-server-without-removing-server-licensing

4. Restart the OS on which Tableau Server was installed before continuing.

5. Download Tableau Server from (if not already available) https://www.tableau.com/support/releases/server/

6. Before you install, ensure that the requirements are being met fully: https://help.tableau.com/current/server-linux/en-us/requ.htm

7. Install Tableau Server as described in our Online Help documentation:
